“I love that feeling of being in a car and being on the edge. The speed and being able to go out there and give it your all. I’m Spencer Boyd and I’m a NASCAR Driver. I think everyone has that moment whether it’s that sport or whatever they do outside of just being a young kid. You realize you have passion for something. I was ten years old racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway and I drove through the tunnel for the first time and you get to that stadium and your just like wow. You know this is crazy and I want to have that feeling every weekend.   My first memory of Ranch Hand I would have to say was a few years ago detailing cars at auto bell. Just a regular kid chasing the racing dream. I remember seeing a truck come through with a Ranch Hand bumper and you don’t see a whole lot of that in Missouri so it caught my eye. And I was like wow this bumper is well built. Coming from a racing background I always look at welds and stuff like that that stands out to me. I knew it was a well-built product and I knew it looked great. But I did not know all the steps in the process. So, coming down here to the plant getting to see from start to finish. All the guys whether it’s designing to actually bending cutting welding and then on over to the powder coat. It’s just amazing how much work goes into these bumpers. You can really see why they can protect your truck and potentially save your life.   So, in racing, everyone is chasing the same goal on a race track. You are going as fast as possible trying to pass everybody, but everyone has the same goal you are moving forward. Things happen really quick on a race track but people don’t realize things happen just as fast on a highway. You wonder if people are maintaining their vehicle or are they really paying attention to the road. You always have people texting and typing now a’days. It’s always in the back of my mind I know what I do on a daily regular basis racing takes extreme focus. And people forget that when you’re doing eighty miles per hour on the highway you still have to pay attention. To not have a grille guard or a bumper just doesn’t make any sense.” (-Spencer Boyd 2017)
